We’ll be having a combined neighborhoods-wide garage sale the Friday and weekend of June 8-10! Come and shop your neighbors treasures, or host a sale of your own! The hours each day will be from 9am-5pm. Be sure to Save-the-Date!
Good morning neighbors! Have you heard of the City of Lansing’s Wet Weather Control Project? Did you know that if you live in the mid to western half of the neighborhood it may affect how you go about your day to day as early as this spring?
Attend the public information meeting tomorrow starting at 7:00 pm at St. Casimir Church. Find out more at https://www.lansingmi.gov/4…/Combined-Sewer-Overflow-Project.
A couple of quick updates friends and neighbors from the president:
• As of this past Parks Board meeting the Moores Park pavilion is not budgeted for replacement this year. Please take the time to attend the Lansing Parks and Recreation Planned Projects Roundtable, tomorrow March 22, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at 600 W Maple St, Lansing, MI 48906 to ask that the pavilion be included in this years project list. The park and our neighborhood use the pavilion as a community center of activity year round and having it gone prevents everyone in the community from using the park to its fullest.
• MPNO has been awarded funds from the City of Lansing Love Your Block grant! In the coming weeks we’ll be revising our scope to match the new budget and submitting a revised plan and schedule soon so stay tuned for upcoming polls and updates!
On February 13, the City of Lansing held a Housing and Neighborhood Resource Summit that featured upcoming projects from Lansing Board of Water & Light, City of Lansing Public Service Department, Lansing Parks and Recreation and the Ingham County Land Bank.
There were projects that effect the Moores Park neighborhood including the update to an ADA compliant canoe portage and an April start for the sewer separation project. Download the powerpoint (pptx) or view the powerpoint below for more project information.
