Concert in the Park 2017

Come to the 2018 Moores Park Concert on July 25 as part of the Lansing Parks and Recreation summer concert series. Bring a picnic, blanket & dance the evening away with the LUVS (The Lansing Unionized Vaudeville Spectacle)!  There will be very limited parking available via the Moores Park Dam parking lot, but additional parking will be available at St. Casimir Catholic Parish.

You could also peddle to the concert with the Lansing Bike Party – (LBP LOVES LUVS) or paddle from the concert with River Town Adventures – (LUVS Electric Glow Paddle) that evening. It starts around 7pm – we hope to see you there!

Movie Night in the Neighborhood – June 16

Just a reminder Movie Night in the Neighborhood is at 701 Britten Ave on Saturday, June 16! We’re showing ‘Beetlejuice’ and starting about 9:00pm.

We’ll be providing water and popcorn, but please bring a chair, blanket and other snacks too. See you then.

In case of rain or bad weather the reschedule date will be Saturday, June 30.

UPDATE: UPDATE: Moores Park Pool Opens June 17

Due to necessary maintenance, the pool will now open on June 17.

It is FREE admission and has open swim from 1-4pm and 5-8pm seven days a week, beginning June 17 and running until August 19. It is open to resident and non-residents of Lansing. There are showers and lockers available.  The YMCA is also staffing the pool again this year. Please be aware of the open swim rules posted here.

The pool phone is 517-371-2778 and you can call to check if it’s open during the listed hours.

It’s located in Moores Park, behind the old Moores Park Elementary School at 600 Moores Park Dr, Lansing, MI 48910.

Promote Your Yard Sale for June 8-10

You can sign-up to have your house address included on this year’s garage sale flyer by Thursday, June 7th at 12pm! Fill out this form.

The flyers will be created and available to pick up from MI Blue Owl Coffee, REO Town Marketplace, The Record Lounge and possible other REO Town businesses throughout the duration of the garage sale.

MI Blue Owl Coffee, REO Town Marketplace & The Record Lounge will also be giving anyone who presents the garage sale flyer discounts (garage sale days only).

Neighborhood garage sale signs are set to go up late Thursday night/early Friday morning.
