Lifeguards Needed for the Moores Park Pool


The parks department has some great activities planned for Moores Park Pool, but they need lifeguards! Moores Park Pool is supposed to be open every day from 12-4pm and 5-7pm starting June 13th. Below is information from the parks and rec. website. Please pass along to anyone who may be interested, so we can help keep Moores Park Pool open!! If you would like to apply, here’s the details:

LIFEGUARDS, ATTENDANTS & INSTRUCTORS
Must be able to swim and be at least 16 years old. American Redcross certification provided. Swim Instructors must have WSI certification. Locker Room Attendants must be at least 15 years old. Outdoor and Indoor Pools: Work June – August at our pools with testing, recertification and training beginning in May. Full or part time hours available. Neighborhood Curbside Clean-Up Nov. 7

correct-pile-sizeCART trucks will be here beginning early in the morning on November 7.  All items must be on the curb Saturday morning and do not put them out before 5pm Friday, November 6.  This clean-­up is for residents within the boundaries of Moores Park Neighborhood only. Bikes, bed frames, plastic toys, televisions, and toilets are among the items that will be picked up. Download the complete guidelines >>

TruGreen’s #TruNeighbor Grant Benefits Moores Park Neighborhood

12049577_1502473213385386_4755892518172934965_nIt was officially announced on Sept. 30 that thanks to TruGreen’s TruNeighbor grant, plus Blight Elimination funds provided by MSHDA, a Land Bank owned property in the 1800 block of Osband Ave. is being redeveloped into a fruit tree and perennial garden for neighbors to gather and children to play.

Our neighbors on Osband Ave. will directly benefit from this green space! This will be an ongoing partnership with the Land Bank, TruGreen and our neighborhood.
